On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee, it is my great pleasure and privilege to invite you to the DNSG 2021 - 38th International Symposium on Diabetes and Nutrition, which due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year will be held virtually on June 21-24, 2021.
The symposium represents the annual meeting of the Diabetes and Nutrition Study Group (DNSG) of the European Association for the study of Diabetes (EASD), which annually hold this Congress to present the latest advances in translational research in food, nutrition and diabetes and stimulate scientific debate in this area of knowledge.
For the first time, we assume the challenge of organizing and adapt the most important Symposium on Diabetes and Nutrition on an international level, to the online mode, due to this pandemic. We hope very much to attend the next year Symposium in person.
The slogan of the 2021 scientific program is: “Novel approaches on nutrition and diabetes: 2021 and beyond”. Highlighted international speakers will do a vibrant and rewarding virtual event, in which only is necessary your online attendance in order to get successful the event.
All sessions of the Symposium will be displayed on a very intuitive virtual platform.
This Symposium brings together clinicians, researchers and industry in an innovative program that includes plenary sessions, panel discussions and debate as well as oral communications and posters to encourage the integration and participation of young researchers. We are doing all this with great enthusiasm and motivation, to create a high quality, attractive, and innovative scientific program.

We are pleased to inform you that the Organizing Committee and the Board Committee of DNSG 2021, after analysing the situation of COVID-19 worldwide and its impact on the symposium, has decided to hold the event virtually. The uncertainty about the current situation and the priority of guaranteeing the health and safety of all participants has led the Organizing Committee to make this decision.
The Symposium will take place virtually on June 21-24, 2021, from 3 pm to 7 pm approximately (CEST Time).
